Paul Thwaite

Paul Thwaite (born 1971) is a British banker. He was interim chief executive of the NatWest Group from July 2023 until his appointment as permanent chief executive in February 2024.

Thwaite was born in Liverpool and educated at the Liverpool Blue Coat School in Wavertree.[1] He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Manchester.[1]

In 1997, he joined NatWest.[1]

On 16 February 2024, Thwaite formally became chief executive of NatWest.[2][3] His basic salary will be £1.1 million.[1]
