Thomas Brudenell-Bruce, Earl of Cardigan

Thomas James Brudenell-Bruce (born 11 February 1982) is the son and heir apparent of David Brudenell-Bruce, 9th Marquess of Ailesbury. From birth he was styled Viscount Savernake as second heir to the Marquessate as his grandfather had been but his father had not been.

Following his grandfather's death and father's accession in May 2024, it has not yet been announced whether he will take on the courtesy title of Earl of Cardigan (used by his father and great-grandfather but not his father when heir apparent), that of Earl Bruce (created with the Marquessate in 1821 used for heirs until the death of James Brudenell, 7th Earl of Cardigan in 1868 made that the Marquesses' senior subsidiary title), or remain Viscount Savernake as his grandfather did when he became heir apparent in 1961.

His sister Lady Catherine is better known as the singer Bo Bruce.

Education

He attended Radley College and the University of Edinburgh.
