Question from BrianOrtigas (05:35, 15 May 2024)

I would like to edit the page "Novopil, Donetsk Oblast" to remove biased language, but I'm unsure as to where the boundaries lie with that. I believe some of the information, while factually correct, may overemphasize certain aspects of the subject. For example, the use of the word "liberate" and the inclusion of "not a single undamaged house remained in the village after the Russian occupation" could present some bias. How could this be effectively altered without removing important information? Should the stated justification behind political decisions be included to provide perspective, or would that only further introduce bias and lead to speculative conclusions? I would appreciate some clarification in regards to this. Thank you for your time and consideration. --BrianOrtigas (talk) 05:35, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @BrianOrtigas, thanks for your question!
I agree with you, taking a look at the article, some language is a little biased. Please see this complete Wikipedia guide that will explain neutral point-of-view, and that should make it clearer than I can on how to fix NPOV on that article.
Let me know if you have additional questions!

Question from Ofranzen (08:54, 15 May 2024)

Hi. Where can I add languages in which I can edit? My native language is Swedish so I would like to get suggestions for articles in both English and Swedish. Thanks. --Ofranzen (talk) 08:54, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Ofranzen, thanks for your question. I believe you'd be talking about the article suggestions on your homepage? I don't think there's a way to set it to display articles from different languages of Wikipedia, because each Wikipedia language is its separate project. You may however wish to visit the Swedish Wikipedia to see if you can contribute there too!
Let me know if you have other questions!

Question from W;ChangingUsername (13:42, 19 May 2024)

Hello mentor

What (or how many newlines) do I have to insert in the source/visual editor to make my articles not appear lkke this: https://simple.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlamydia_pneumoniae? I mean that all of the sections are too close together when they're all collapsed. --W;ChangingUsername (talk) 13:42, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @W;ChangingUsername! I would assume that you are viewing that page on mobile which is where it allows you to collapse sections. The way they stick to each other is totally normal :).

Question from Wikinewbienz (02:47, 21 May 2024)

Hi, I've been trying to make an additional to the profile page on Kim Cadzow, a New Zealand Cyclist but somebody called EasyAsPie keeps undoing the additional last paragraph and I don't know why? Any suggestions? --Wikinewbienz (talk) 02:47, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Wikinewbienz, I can see from the page's history that that user did not revert the change a fourth time, which would have consisted a violation of the WP:3RR rule. Instead, they added a citation to back up the statement that you added. Next time, please know that any statements about a living person likely to be challenged that you add must have a reliable source to back it up per WP:BLPRS. Let me know if you have other questions!
