Anje Kruger

Anje Kruger is a businesswoman and investor known for her key roles in the development of the rapidly growing tech platform, Kruger Commodities, which is the world's first commodity trading e-commerce platform. She pioneered the organization's technological infrastructure and created its multinational expansion strategy. She is currently the lead acquisition strategist and senior system engineer for the organization.

She states that she invented Kruger Commodities after discovering that there was no easy way for business owners to source and purchase commodities without having to wait for quotes over extended periods and communicate back and forth with suppliers. She also stated that this is wasting a great deal of time and needed immediate improvement, thus developing the Kruger Commodities platform.

Anje has expressed controversial views and has been criticized for misleading statements regarding their business, her real estate portfolio, and is involved in various controversies regarding their social media marketing methods. She has also been involved in mass layoffs, a CCMA arbitration case and regularly faces public scrutiny for their mass employment strategies.

Today, she is known for her involvement in a repertoire of industries including energy, minerals, metals, chemicals, agriculture and textiles. Her company has brokered the sale of several businesses and large scale projects, including their involvement in the sale of offshore gas exploration projects, oil rigs, mines and smart city developments.

Other acquisitions include Travel Kruger, amongst other private businesses and real estate ventures that she built up and sold.

By 2023, she lead the Kruger Commodities organization with 84 traders in various roles, at the age of 22. The current company size is not publicly known.

Anje stated that she will be taking Kruger Commodities public and listing on the South African stock exchanges. The development and operation of the Kruger Commodities app is occurring at their branch office in Cape Town.

Early Life

Anje grew up in the Afrikaans speaking town, Montana, Pretoria and went to school in "Laerskool Wonderboom" as well as "Hoërskool Montana". She was a top academic student and decorated with well over 60 gold medals for her athletic performance, and a district record for short distance hurdles in District 3 of the Gauteng region.

Both of her parents passed away at a young age. Before their passing, her mother had worked for a company called Levtrade International as a medical rep, and her father operated a brand named SupaBoost.

At the age of 14, Anje's mother passed away and she started working as a part time promoter. She then moved away from home at the age of 15 and by the age of 20, her father had also passed away.

Timeline

Anje started working at the age of 15 and owned her first business at the age of 16.

Her first business was a promotions and marketing business called Mulberry Blue Media, which started in 2017, where she offered the service of outsourced human capital for commercial events such as exhibitions, gold days, corporate team building and more. The business grew into a media production and distribution house catering to businesses in need of digital marketing. Most of her employees were temporary at the time and she stated that she used to hire a lot of freelancers on an ad-hoc basis.

She then joined a real estate agency called Livingroom Property, where she merged her marketing business with the agency's existing networks at the time. Later on she separated herself from the property company to focus on her marketing business yet again.

Thereafter, she founded Kruger Commodities which was originally named Kruger Diesel. Kruger Diesel expanded in the South African market and later on branched out into the United Arab Emirates as Kruger Commodities, to India and to Delaware in the United States. Kruger Commodities evolved into a hybrid between an open marketplace tech platform and commodity trading house.

Anje acquired residency for herself and her partner in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where they have established another branch office and are now permanently located. She also owns and operates various entities in South Africa from abroad.
