You were recently listed as a party to a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Example. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Example/Evidence. Template documentation

The first (and only mandatory) parameter is the name of the case. In these examples, the case is Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Tree shaping:

• For notifying editors who are listed as a party to the case in the case request: {{ArbComOpened|Tree shaping|party=yes}}
• For notifying editors who are not named as parties: {{subst:ArbComOpened|Tree shaping}}
• For notifying editors who were added as a party by the arbitrators when the case was opened: {{subst:ArbComOpened|Tree shaping|added-by-arbs-after-opening=yes}}

The template assumes that the arbitration case will operate under the standard committee timetable (specifically, that the evidence phase lasts fourteen days). If the committee directs there to be a longer or shorter evidence phase, this template will require another parameter to be declared: |days=. For example, if the drafter of Tree shaping directs that the evidence phase will only last seven days, the two example notifications above would instead be deployed as follows:

This will result in the bold-print date in your notification being equal to seven days from the day you give the notification, rather than the standard notification. (Consequently, you should be careful when giving large sets of notifications close to midnight UTC, as that could mean some parties are told the evidence phase will close one day later than other editors; the current server time is 10:57 ().)
