This article has an extreme point of view issue IMO...It sounds more like something from the band's website than an encyclopedia article.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.209.245.59 (talkcontribs) Feb 18, 2006

Updates

[edit]

I've removed the {cleanup} tag after several updates, corrections and citations, and revised the discography. POV seems neutral enough. After reading the sources closely, the band originated in Chicago, although the Talbot brothers lived and performed in other bands and several locations prior to that, including Indianapolis. Terry Talbot photo ID

[edit]

I've reverted edits made by an IP editor until more positive identification can be made as to just who is in that photo. --Phyllis1753 (talk) 14:12, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wanted garnered Grammy for cover art??

[edit]

Seems I remember this being true, but have not tracked down a source. Any one else have any information on this?THX1136 (talk) 21:36, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I forgot all about this. Did a quick check at the Grammy related article here. "Come & Gone" won a Grammy for Best recording package in 1974. Also, according to that article their album "Mason Proffit" was nominated in 1971. This article has no mention of an album entitled simply "Mason Proffit". I'm guessing I was watching the Grammy's in 1971 and the cover art shown for the nomination was the "Wanted" albums art work. I'll do some more digging to see if I can find further info.THX1136 (talk) 01:19, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
After doing some looking around - mostly at awards sites and the Grammy's own site I've come to the conclusion that it was "Wanted" that was nominated in 1971. My best guess is due to the album cover having only the group's name on it, the Grammy's misidentified the album's title as "Mason Proffit" instead of it's given title "Wanted". Also, I could find no album in their discography entitled "Mason Proffit" in the 3 places I looked (one being AllMusic).THX1136 (talk) 01:55, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
