Hider in the House is a Saturday morning children's show presented by Jason King and Joel Ross (aka JK and Joel). It is shown between 9am and 10am on BBC Two and the CBBC Channel. The first episode was shown on 17 February 2007.

In the programme a celebrity has to be hidden in a house, without the a parent finding out, however one will know. The children involved must undergo a series of tasks to win prizes which they will receive if the parent doesn't find the celebrity!

In late 2006 CBBC put an advert on their website for families wishing to take part in a new Saturday morning gameshow, the programme was originally advertised as Our House on the website this name is used as a cover name in the programme so the main aim of the programme doesn't become apparent to the parent that hasn't been told about the celebrity.

Criticism

The show has received criticism that most of the aspects of the show are staged. It seems very unlikely that a parent would not notice their children being suspicious, and it is also unbelieveable that on seven occassions the children have won.
