Federal electoral districts of Hidalgo since 2022

The First Federal Electoral District of Hidalgo (I Distrito Electoral Federal de Hidalgo) is one of the 300 electoral districts into which Mexico is divided for elections to the federal Chamber of Deputies and one of the seven currently operational districts in the state of Hidalgo.[1]

It elects one deputy to the lower house of Congress for each three-year legislative period, by means of the first-past-the-post system.

Under the 2022 districting plan, the district's head town (cabecera distrital), where results from individual polling stations are gathered together and collated, is the city of Huejutla de Reyes in the extreme northeast of the state.[1]
