Aphra Brandreth is a British politician who has served as the member of Parliament (MP) for Chester South and Eddisbury since the 2024 United Kingdom general election. She is a member of the Conservative Party.

Background

Brandreth is the daughter of former Conservative politician Gyles Brandreth.[1] She worked from 2003 to 2013 as an economic adviser to Defra, and was deputy leader of Richmond Council from 2018 to 2022.[2]

Political career

Previously a councillor in Chester,[3] she was elected to the seat of Chester South and Eddisbury in the 2024 general election.[4]
