Jamie Anderson is an American actress, screenwriter and director. Anderson is known for her acting work in Steven Spielberg’s “Catch Me if You Can,” “Pushing Twilight” and “Modern Family.” She has earned critical acclaim as a writer and director for the short films “Punching Bag,” “I’m F%$#ing Fine” and “Me Too Nice,” which have won several awards and been featured in numerous festivals.
Anderson has been recognized as “The New Female Director to Watch Out For” by Viva Glam Magazine and was listed among the “Top 25 Writers to Watch” by The International Screenwriters’ Association.
Anderson’s work often explores themes with a blend of humor and emotional depth drawing from her early childhood as well as her life in Hollywood.

Early Life
Jamie Anderson was born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi and later lived in Maitland, Florida. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of nineteen to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Her Southern upbringing serves as an inspiration for the themes explored in much of her work. [1]
Films, TV, Audio
As an actress, her films include “Catch Me If You Can” (2002), “Scorched” (2003), “Young, Single & Angry” (2006), “Sexting” (2010).
On television, she has been in various guest-star roles, including “Life (2007),” “Pushing Twilight (2008),” “That ‘70s Show (2000)” and “The Drew Carey Show (2001) among 44 other credits spanning television and film. [2]
Jamie currently serves as writer and director on the comedy series “Leapfrog,” which is in development.[3] “Leapfrog" follows ex-Navy SEAL Miles Greene, as he struggles to adjust into civilian life. After he’s forced to work at a new-age spiritual center with his estranged daughter, Miles must learn how to redefine his role in the community and at home.
She is also set to direct the gritty feature film “Arigato Tokyo” for Talaria Media as well as the feature film “Pregnant in Las Vegas” from Patriot Pictures [4]
Accolades
The Los Angeles Short Film Festival awarded Anderson with the Best Directing Award in 2018 for her film “Punching Bag.” [5] [6]
In 2020 Viva Glam Magazine named Anderson “The New Female Director to Watch Out For.” [7]
This same year her short film “Me Too Nice” [8]went to 21 festivals, won the Best Dark Comedy award at the Marina Del Rey Film Festival [9] as well as a honorable mention at DaVinci Film Festival [10]
Also in 2020, the critically-acclaimed UK romantic comedy, “I Won’t Say I Love You,” which she directed went on to win an Independent Shorts Award for Best Romantic Short. [11]
Anderson is listed among the “Top 25 Writers to Watch” by The International Screenwriters’ Association.[12]
In 2021 she won the Silver Telly Award for “Craft-Directing", for directing a Craig’s Vegan commercial, under her production company Gold Wings Entertainment [13]
