Rewind, Select, Update, is the sixth studio album by Nigerian veteran musician 2Baba. It was released on 17 February 2015 by Hypertek Digital and 960 Music Group. The album is full of remastered versions of 2Baba's old hits. They are called "high-definition versions" (HDVs). Three artists were featured on the album, which include longtime collaborator Vector, and label mates Rocksteady and Dammy Krane. Late producer OJB Jezreel produced the entire album.[1]
Background and promotion
On 6 April 2014, 2Baba talked with Toolz in an interview on The Juice. He talked about many different things, including his next album (at the time). He said that it would be "on the level" of a "Best of 2Face" album.[2] On 27 October 2014, he released the first promotional single off the album, "Nfana Ibaga HDV", and the song was produced by OJB Jezreel. He later then revealed that two new albums would be soon released: "Rewind, Select, Update", a remaster album, and "Face 2 Face 10.0", a Kennis Music re-issue album.[3]
Singles
Three singles were released from the album. The lead single, "Nfana Ibaga HDV" was released on 27 October 2014 and the music video was released on the same day.[4] The second and third singles, "African Queen HDV" and "Other Side Of Existence" were released on 20 February 2015 respectively. All three singles were produced by OJB Jezreel.[5]
