about the big graphic: Quakers seem to me to be more like a restorationist movement than like a protestant denomination Eric Forste 02:47, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Quakers don't believe that they are latter-day saints, if that's what you mean!!--Alhutch 07:24, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Eric, Alhutch is certainly right (we're not LDS in any way shape or form), but you're also onto something -- historically we have distinguished ourselves from both Protestants and Catholics, believing ourselves to be "primitive Christianity revived", or "restored" if you like. But it seems the term have strong overtones of LDS and simliar movements in the 19th century, which don't fit. I suppose you could say historically we're "restorationist" but not "Restorationist" – a bit like how we were "protestant" and "puritan" but not "Protestant" and "Puritan."
In any case, we're still left with a huge graphic that is not at all helpful for this page... Z@ch 17:57, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Glad that graphic has gone !(It's probably still there on the Restorationism page if anyone is interested). === Vernon White (talk) 18:05, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Subcat?

How about "Quaker meetings" for a sub-category?--BillFlis (talk) 18:04, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
