I believe that the original biography was correct. It was gathered from New International Encyclopedia.

This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domainGilman, D. C.; Peck, H. T.; Colby, F. M., eds. (1905). New International Encyclopedia (1st ed.). New York: Dodd, Mead. {{cite encyclopedia}}: Missing or empty |title= (help).

There was no "Jacques Vincent Ogé". Vincent Ogé the younger, the famous Haitian Revolutinary figure, was the son of Jacques Ogé [and probably the nephew of Vincent Ogé.] Jacques Ogé and Angelique Ossé had at least four sons: Joseph, Jacques, Vincent, and Jean-Pierre. I'm about to publish an article documenting all this. For more information, see my home page http://www3.uta.edu/faculty/garrigus
