Athletic achievements include the 2003 Boys Golf State Champions, 2005 Ice Hockey State Champions, Roller Hockey State Champions, Volleyball State Champions, and the 2006 Girls Golf, Boys Tennis State.Northview's girls swim team also won State championship in 2007. Northview's Colors are Navy Blue and Silver. Peter Zervakos has been Northview's principal since it opened its doors in 2001. While it may seem that their mascot the Titan was designated by Zervakos because of his Greek heritage, it was in fact voted upon by the incoming freshman class, as were the school colors of blue and silver. (The fact that the school's mascot is the Titan and the school's symbol is the thunderbolt is contradictory; in Greek Mythology, Zeus slaughtered the Titans with the thunderbolt.) Northview's "Titan Stadium" currently holds the record for having the biggest jumbotron among High schools in the United States. They also have an excellent orchestra program, known to be one of the best in the state. The Northview Chamber Orchestra was invited to perform at the prestigious Midwest Clinic in Chicago, IL in December 2004, and was also chosen to represent the State of Georgia for Mozart's 250th Anniversary Celebration in Salzburg, Austria; Vienna, Austria; and Prague, Czech Republic in April 2006.

The school is a part of the Fulton County Schools system.

The student body has two "inside jokes," both of which originated from Principal Zervakos's choice vocabulary. A "Titan First" is any event which has not been accomplished by any other pupil or team in the school's outstanding six year history (e.g. "This Wikipedia entry is a 'Titan First'"). Principal Zervakos's frustrations with the students' inability to clean up after themselves has given birth to the other, equally notorious phrase - "good home training." After countless lunch periods, Mr. Zervakos has interrupted classes with a lecture over the announcements, reminding students to "Use your good home training and clean up after yourselves!" Recently, however, he actually complimented students on the increasing cleanliness of the Commons Area during lunch. He claims that it's "not perfect yet, but it's better." - "The String Quartet" won Northview High School's 2006 Talent Show with their orchestra talent. - "What Can Brown Do for You?" won first prize for their beastly dance moves at Northview High School's 2007 Talent Show. Nishant Srinivasan, known school-wide as "the king of dance", was surprisingly not chosen for the team.

Northview also has many academic teams. The math team is particularly successful and is headed by Sun Kim and Karthik Narayan as of 2007. Northview has three members belonging to the Georgia ARML team currently. They are Tony Huang, Benjamin Hu, and Karthik Narayan. In 2006, Jimmy Dong and Karthik Narayan were the ARML members from Northview.
