Boomers, where Boomtown has their concerts at, offers free entertainment. Mostly New Orleans local bands, such as the Chee Weez, play there. You have to be at least 21 years old to enter and have to wear Proper attire is required. Most shows are free.

expansion
In December 2006, board of directors for Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. approved a major expansion for the Boomtown Casino. It is expected to cost $145 million dollars. The expansion will included "a 200-guestroom, four-star hotel; a pool area, spa and salon; an expansion of the existing Boomers nightclub; an Asian restaurant; additional meeting space; a new employee dining area; and a refurbishment and expansion of the existing buffet.( Pinnacle Entertainment to expand Boomtown New Orleans ). The expansion is suppose to start during the first quarter of 2007 and be finish during the second quarter of 2008.
