Viking rock
Vikingarock (Swedish for viking rock) is a Rock music genre that takes much of its themes from 19th century viking romaticism, mixing it with rockabilly, oi!, streetpunk and folk elements. Frequent themes occurring in vikingarock include vikings and Norse mythology, as well as Sweden's King Karl XII and the Caroleans.
It is generally associated with Nordic nationalism, and often linked to white power. Many record companies make no distinction between vikingarock and white power music. There is debate whether vikingarock is racist. Major bands like Ultima Thule have later denounced racism and xenophobia, but they are still popular in the white supremacist community.
