Bratz (also known as Bratz: The Movie, or Bratz: The Motion Picture) is a forthcoming live-action feature film based on the popular Bratz fashion doll line by MGA Entertainment. The film's release date has been announced as August 10 2007.

Development timeline

The film was announced on May 15 2006, when MGA Entertainment, Avi Arad Productions, and Crystal Sky Pictures teamed up to bring the Bratz dolls to the big screen. Under the deal, Crystal Sky Pictures will finance the film, Avi Arad and MGA will executive produce. John Doolittle and Susie Singer Carter penned the screenplay. [1] [2]

On October 17 2006, it was announced that Sean McNamara will direct the film. The casting was in production and the film would start to shoot in early February 2007 in Los Angeles. [3]

On January 11 2007, it was announced that Paula Abdul would be acting and serving as executive producer on the film. She has also stated in an interview that she will be doing choreography, suggesting that the movie will have musical elements.[4]

The shooting of the film was completed on March 24 2007, and it is now in post production.[citation needed]
