Again, welcome! Lady Tenar 21:24, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:04-08-15 Gent 01.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Silverfish 17:53, 28 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Resafa

I uploaded one of the images from your site to the article I just created on Resafa. I put it under the GFDL license as you had done with your other excellent images such as Palmyra. Thanks for these photos and I hope to use more of them on future articles.Yuber(talk) 15:31, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image tag

Zeledi - Could you please put an image tag on Image:Damascus by night.JPG. →Raul654 00:19, Jun 3, 2005 (UTC)

'Got your message on my talk page. Let me clarify my request. When you click on an image on Wikipedia, you are taken to that picture's image page, which should (theoretically) contain information about the picture, such as a description of what the picture is, what the source is (where and by whom was it taken), 'etc. Most imortantly, the page should have the copyright license -- the terms under which we (Wikipedia) are legally allowed to use the picture.
The best way to do this is to put a 'tag' on it (you can find a brief description of the copyright tags at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags). I'd like you to find one that you think is appropriate, matching the criteria you select (do you want to be attributed? Should people who modify this picture be required to release their version under a similiar license? 'Etc) - or, alternately, you describe the terms you want and I'd be happy to suggest a license. After you/we have selected a license, I'd like you to tag that picture appropriately. →Raul654 21:57, Jun 9, 2005 (UTC)

Yet another tagging request

Could you tag Image:05-10-09 BernCoveredSidewalks.jpg? Please pick and choose from our wide variety of free copyright tags before the evil speedy deleters come to get this picture. --Bash 03:51, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:ArRaqqahMicheleb.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Amazing!

Hi. I justed wanted to thank you for your amazing job on the images you contributed to the Syrian articles, especially the panorama of Palmyra, just brilliant. Thanks a lot, I would love to see more of your work and contributions! --Anas Salloum 14:05, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I repositioned the image of the panorama in the Palmyra article. Images should not precede the lead paragraph. I hope you don't mind. Cheers! ANAS - Talk 21:27, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rusafa

Hello, I've uploaded a photo from your website for use here. I hope that's alright with you! Many thanks for the resource -- I was there years ago but didn't take nearly enough photos. Best regards, --Javits2000 12:25, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
