Nicole Hollander (born 1939) is a cartoonist best known for the nationally syndicated newspaper comic strip "Sylvia", distributed by Tribune Media Services and appearing in over 80 newspapers. Hollander has also published numerous "Sylvia" collections, including Never Take Your Cat to a Salad Bar and Female Problems: An Unhelpful Guide (turned into a musical produced in Chicago in 1998). She has also illustrated the children's books Messie Jessie and Hot Henry by Robie Harris.

Hollander earned a B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1960, and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Boston University. She lives in Chicago, Illinois.
