openhousenewyork (OHNY) is a cultural organization in New York City, USA, that "hosts year-round educational programs celebrating New York City’s built-environment, culminating in America’s largest architecture and design event, the annual "openhousenewyork Weekend"[1]. Landmark buildings and private residences open their doors to the public to offer a glimpse of architecture in the past and present, with a preview of design for the future. This is the New York version of the longer established Open House Weekend in London.

The 4th annual open house on the weekend of October 7–8, 2006, featured 180 sites in the five boroughs of New York City, with guided tours and other OHNY programs for adults and children. Programs include performances and exhibits, open dialogue with artists and designers in their studio, and a special focus on sustainable design in the city. The wide variety of sites that host the event ranges from "…boardrooms to bedrooms, crypts to clubs, factories to firehouses, lighthouses to lookouts, monuments to mansions, skyscrapers to substations…". Some sites require reservations and lines are expected at popular locations.
