King Boromaracha v, also known as Suriyat Amarin or Ekkathat (also spelled Ekathat), Thai: สมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวพระที่นั่งสุริยาสน์อมรินทร์ (พระเจ้าเอกทัศ), ruled from 1758-1767, and was the last king of the Ayutthaya kingdom. The royal line of Ayuthaya lasted over a period of 400 years and came to an end with the sacking of the capital city. The name "Suriyat Amarin" or "Suriyamarin" came from the name of the wooden throne of the King of Ayutthaya named "Suriyant Amarin".

In Toung Oo, Burma he is known as Maha Dammaiyaza. New sources in Malaysia said that the royal line did not end there. The last Ayutthaya king went to Nakhon Si Thammarat and then to Kedah (Saiburi), which is part of his former kingdom. Later, Taksin (governer of Tak, hence Taksin or Praya Tak and Sin was the original name before becoming the governor) the Ayutthaya military tactician and strategist, would eventually drive the Burmese back then founded the Kingdom of Thonburi. After 15 years, Taksin was executed by the Chakri Rama I who claimed that the king went mad.

According to Thai historical text, Boromaracha V died soon after the fall of Ayutthaya in the area near the ruined Capital.
