Tracker may refer to:

  • Tracker music software
  • Also in music, a tracker is a piece of a mechanical-action pipe organ that transfers pull; often a long, thin strip of wood with threaded rods whipped to the ends. These are the origin of the term tracker organ. Compare sticker.
  • In bittorrent, a tracker is a server that directs the bittorrent downloads and uploads. It is essiencial for a bittorrent downloads to sucssfully occur.
  • Tracker is also the name of a television series starring Adrian Paul and Geraint Wyn Davies.
  • A tracker is also an individual who can follow the path left behind by animals, people or machines, often in adverse terrain, by reading the sign left behind.
  • Tracker is also the name of a computer program that simulated the behavior of ants and ant evolution, written by David Jefferson and Chuck Taylor at UCLA to prove concepts of emergence.
  • OpenTracker is the file manager and desktop in the BeOS.
