Labirent are Progressive Rock band formed in Ankara Türkiye1987 (Labyrinth in English). In early times of Rock in Turkey while rock music is found very strange and behaved as a piece of rubbish, two brave musicians, Serhat Koçak and Yavuz Selim Sarıcı have first founded this band and introduced brand new “Progressive Rock Music” concept in Turkish music market. At 1992 after joining of talented Rock Guitarist Volkan Unluer[1] the core line-up took its last shape. They tried very hard and finally achieved to extend their musical perspective, powerful music and sounds on many national TV and radio stations countrywide and in year 1997 the first album "Çağın Harikası" (Miracle of the Century) was released. They made a symphonic rock performance “which was a first in Turkey” as a Rock Band performing with a Gazi University Symphony Orchestra in Turkish National TV Channel TRT. Nowadays the band members are continuing their musical careers with their solo projects mostly but as a band they still keep their position in Turkish Rock Music History and holds a great place in memories of the generation of 80’s in Turkey especially in Ankara.
