NP! You kept deleting articles before I'd even tagged them with db! Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry 00:04, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please re-delete Devin Wayne Davis? You deleted it as I added a db tag to it, and it got recreated.  :) Corvus cornix 23:39, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I think I'd rather wait a while, thanks, though. I don't have any major contributions, most of what I do is vandal hunting and cleanup.  :) Corvus cornix 23:41, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I appreciate it. Corvus cornix 23:44, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please undelete the Pinned TV page I just made? You noted it as being only a local TV show, but it will be airing in the Las Vegas market soon.

Can you provide some Reliable sources to prove it. Jaranda wat's sup 00:02, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I guess not, would I have to wait for it to air in order for the page to stay up?

OI - I just posted a {{hangon}} on that page and listed my argument on the talk page. What gives? Moro 00:23, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A hangon doesn't protect the page from being deleted, Wikipedia is not a plot summarry Jaranda wat's sup 00:24, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That doesn't answer my question - I said on the talk page that I planned to edit the article soon and that at the very least you could just remove the material I copied. Moro 00:25, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You said why the article was deleted, I gave you the reason Jaranda wat's sup 00:26, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You did not, however, tell me why you paid no heed to my argument for keeping it. Moro 00:27, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw it, again wikipedia isn't a plot summarry, which that was, won't stand a chance in AFD unless you do a major rewrite, won't undelete it because of the copyvio. Thanks Jaranda wat's sup 00:36, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, Convicted murderer (of a young woman), paroled, released, rapes 12 year-old girl. Yes, there are other cases like this one. I would like to document them all, and place them in the catagory "Hawaii Murderers". Does that sound like a bad idea? HawaiiRegistry 00:32, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To tell you the honest truth, unless the murders reached national media for a while, like the Laci Peterson case, they won't stand a chance in WP:AFD, as there has been thousands of murders every year and that will be noted, some good national sources will help (like the New York Times or CNN reporting on those murders, not only local media). I hope that helps. Jaranda wat's sup 00:35, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the rapid reply. There is no registry of convicted murderers in Hawaii, but I was attempting to create one, based on documented sources. Of course there is no national reporting of Hawaii's murders, so I would never be able to meet that criteria. Do you think it would be possible for me to create one WP article that lists every known person convicted of murder since statehood (1959)? HawaiiRegistry 00:39, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There should be a few that could be in national media, you could always check in google, and also I don't see the harm of that list. Thanks Jaranda wat's sup 00:41, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ani-Botics

Humm a bit confused, did you look at the website and read anything it's just it seems to have got deleted rather quickly, it might be an idea to look at http://www.anibotics.co.uk/welcome/project-mission/ and check if you can resurrect the Anibotics article I was linking it too as I'm new to this and just discovered you could contact the person doing the deleting.

It's also defining a completely new field, see http://www.anibotics.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/ma_proposal_15-03-07.pdf

And it's not a company website despite the unfortunate .co.uk extension and I was obviously going to expand it with more time, big hugs, Samantha --Samlhamer 02:08, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A new concept, see WP:N Jaranda wat's sup 17:53, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Zdeněk Bažant

i find your hasty deletion of the zdeněk bažant page precipitous. on its own, his status as one of the most highly regarded engineers in the world and someone elected to both the NAS and the NAE makes his biography encyclopedic material.

furthermore, his analysis of the structural collapse of the WTC is at the core of NIST's WTC report, which has brought him into the public eye. i plan to expand the article to summarize his analysis whle also adding citations for sources of the biographical information that i provided. Judy Lee Klemesrud

Can you send me back the list of awards and list of publications for her. They are at the bottom of the deleted article. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) 02:47, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Samantha Imafidon

A student of eieprogramme.com has been in the British press for the past 3 years. Her achievements are such that some people have never achieved in a lifetime, and she has been recognised world wide for her talents. Why can't I upload an entry for her? Google her name to learn more or visit eieprogramme.com/imafidon/samantha.htm. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Edith55 (talkcontribs) 18:40, August 24, 2007 (UTC)

Just because some student was on a newspaper that doesn't mean WP:BIO fame instantly, many students had the same types of achivements and doesn't meet wikipedia guidelines. Jaranda wat's sup 18:42, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WWE Ratings

Hi i recently created a page named wwe ratings which you deleted for having a very short article with little or no context the reason was because i just created it.

No because it was a short article with little or no content, not because you created it. Anyways an article on that subject won't survive WP:AFD Jaranda wat's sup 18:56, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jaranda. You just deleted Scheduled Passengers Carried, but i don't understand why. You say "blantant copyright infringement", because, i assume, you can find the same information elsewhere on the web. However, facts are not copyrightable, even if they are numerical facts. Can you please explain in more detail? Fudoreaper 23:07, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone tagged it as copyvio, it also had very little content, so it's also a A1 Jaranda wat's sup 18:03, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

page deletion question

Hi, You "kindly" deleted my MicroMonitor page entry twice. I'm assuming it is because a book and a company website are mentioned (true?). These two items are mentioned because they are relevant to the topic. Micromonitor (something similar to Das uBoot, which has a Wikipedia page) originated in the mentioned book, and the *free* source code is available at the website of the mentioned company. If I remove the company and book reference, will that make this page legal? Edsut 23:37, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm processing an OTRS ticket for someone who created this article, they claim in email that the theatre has 40,000 subscribers. As I'm not a WP admin I can't see what the content used to be, so I am not able to answer them as to what may have been wrong with the article. --Brianmc 08:31, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It read like advertising, and no reliable sources to boot. Thanks Jaranda wat's sup 18:02, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

another page deletion question

Magic Crayon is a real brazilian indie-rock-pop band. As one of its original members i can ensure it. Wikipedia should include every possible article containing information on all branches of knowledge, shouldn't it? I am not an advanced internet user, i can't reproduce the deleted outlook page. This is absolutely unfair. Could you kindly explain me why you deleted my Magic Crayon page entry? --Waldenzanin 17:13, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:MUSIC Jaranda wat's sup 17:57, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How can you (Wikipedia "masters") label indistinctly like this? Do you know the brazilian indie rock scene? Don't Wikipedia's users and readers deserve to know about it? Or isn't the brazilian indie-rock scene remarkable to Wikipedia? So if the band isn't famous in the USA or Europe or Australia Wikipedia considers it unremarkable... Shame on you! Now i see that Wikipedia isn't about informing people, it is about judging and electing - with ethnocentric methods (or just ignorance)... Well, i saw WP:MUSIC. Here we go: "A musician or ensemble is notable if has had a charted hit on any national music chart." (Criteria for musicians and ensembles, n.2) Are you kidding?! This is stupid! All the underground scenes around the world, aren't they notable or remarkable for Wikipedia? There's more than RIAA outside your windows... "A musician or ensemble is notable if has had a record certified gold or higher in at least one country" (Criteria for musicians and ensembles, n.3) Worse! Music isn't (only) commerce, or at least not every notable musician needs to be certified gold to be considered notable. Come on, there are so many good exemples... The Velvet Underground never had a record certified gold. Do you know how notable are The Velvet Underground?!? Oh my god, i can't continue just because all these criteria are shameful. It seems that it was RIAA that wrote WP:MUSIC. For shame! Anyways, i can ensure you that the band Magic Crayon meets at least 3 items of your shameful criteria (items 1, 6 and 10)... --Waldenzanin 10:30, 26 August 2007 (UTC)—Preceding unsigned comment added by Waldenzanin (talkcontribs) 10:27, August 26, 2007 (UTC)[reply]
