Welcome to Wikipedia! On the Village pump, you asked about similiar projects. You might want to take a look at other, older wikis that inspired Wikipedia, such as MeatballWiki, and the mother of them all, the original WikiWiki. Meatball is particularly good for finding other wiki projects. There's also Douglas Adams' H2G2 over at the BBC, and Everything2 from the Slashdot crew.
