The Tracker is an Australian film produced in 2002. This story was unlawfully adapted from B Wongar's short story of the same title (The Tracker). Originally a filmmaker Peter Leović obtained appropriate authorization from B.Wongar for adapting The Tracker originally published in B.Wongar's book Track to Bralgu. Leović then applied to Australian Film Commission for financial assistance to make the film however the Australian Film Commission provided assistance to another film maker Rolf de Heer, which had no copyright clearance from B.Wongar for adaptation. There are considerable body of correspondence between Leović, Australian Film Commission and B Wongar which can draw more light on this copyright infringement. [1]
