Steve Austin just having successfully defended his title against The Undertaker
  • During The Undertaker's entrance, fireworks were scheduled to go off in the ring. Referee Earl Hebner was in the ring at the time, and Jerry Lawler could be heard yelling "Get out Earl!" Hebner barely escaped the ring before the fireworks went off.
  • During the main event, Undertaker attempted to perform a back body drop on Austin, but Austin countered with a kick. When Undertaker went to rise up in retaliation (as he always does), he accidentally butted heads with Austin, causing Austin to "black out" for a few seconds, and both were affected by it for the rest of the match.
