Tribal Trouble is a real-time strategy video game for Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The game pits natives of tropical islands against invading Vikings. The game was developed by independent studio Oddlabs, and has won several awards, including four top 5 positions in indie game review site GameTunnel's 2005 awards in the categories of best multiplayer game, best graphics, best strategy game and best game overall.

Gameplay

Warriors

Troops are made from the armory, but to become a warrior each peon needs to be equipped with a weapon. There are four resources: wood, rock, chicken and iron. Stone is the weakest, iron is stronger and chicken is the most powerful.

Building

There are three buildings, Tower, Armory and Quarters. First peons gather wood to build. Towers you know. Quarters work by sl generating people. The more peons, the more people get generated faster. When at zero it generates very slow. People can be trained into peons. The armory trains Warriors. (See Troops) The Armory orders peons to gather. (Chicken/Stone/Wood/Iron) Then the peons in the Armory make weapons. (See Troops)

Map Size

Tribal Trouble has very satisfying island sizes.

Small is alright while medium is four times small. And large is six-teen times small.

Resources

Wood is used for weapons and buildings. Iron is for weapons, chicken also. Stone is for weapons too. After resources reach a certain amount, it re-grows.

Chieftains

Chieftains are made from the Quarters without people. Chieftains also do not need weapons and have magical powers.
