MTR Laing is a 50:50 joint venture between Laing Rail and MTR Corporation.[1] It is scheduled to commence the operation of London Overground services from November 2007 as London Overground Rail Operations Ltd.[2]

MTR Laing were also selected to bid for the Thameslink/Great Northern franchise but were unsuccessful: the franchise was awarded to First Group who branded their services First Capital Connect.[3]
