Garance Franke-Ruta is a senior editor at the American Prospect. She was previously a senior writer at the Washington City Paper, D.C.'s alternative weekly newspaper. Her work has also appeared in The Washington Monthly, The New Republic, Salon, Legal Affairs, Washington Business Forward, Utne Reader and National Journal, and is also a frequent diavlog participant with other political and current event journalists.[1] She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1997 [2].

Trivia

The name "Garance" is a french word referring to a shade of red.
