Arroyo High School, located in El Monte, California, is one of the 5 other schools in the El Monte High School Unified District. Arroyo was built in 1955 and has still been a success at many things up to this day. The Arroyo Knights award winning Band and Colorguard, the Knights Football team, the Knights Volleyball team, Cross Country, Track, Tennis, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Wrestling.
It is located in North El Monte, bordering Temple City. Arroyo High School has been traditionally been known as the best high school in the El Monte Union High School District, but that is disputed. [citation needed]

Arroyo Knights Band and Colorguard
The award winning Knights band and colorguard has been strong and standing since the school was first built. Many awards have been won by the Knights Band such as Sweepstakes of the Arcadia Band Review, and many other 1st place prizes in the parade unit and the field show unit. As the Knights have recently started the Field Show unit in 2004, the band is already well known through Southern California participating in SCSBOA(Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association) and WBA(Western Band Association).
