BHAINSA MUNCIPALITY

Bhainsa is a muncipality, a border town of Andhra Pradesh with its border to Bhoker, Dharmabad and Kinwat Taluqs of Maharashtra State. It is one of a very places in Andhra Pradesh where cotton is grown and traded on National level. It has the maximum number of Ginning Mills at a single place in whole southern India then come Warangal, Kadapa, Adilabad and Nanded and Akola of Maharashtra. The land is very fertile and cultivators are rich but still over 60% of population live under the line of poverty, just because of fake seeds supplied by greedy traders and high interests of money lenders.
Mohammed Meeran a retired judiciary employee says that the plight of the poor is very aweful, disastrous and unbelieveable and it is just because of illiteracy and greed of rich and abuse by oppertunist politicians. He himself is a landlord but still a caring person and a Messiah for the poor. <br /

Fertile land of Bhainsa

The land of Bhainsa and other villages around this town is very fertile particularly for the cash crops, specially for the cotton and groundnut. The town has attracted many big business tycoons to establish ginning mills here. There are many big ginning and oil mills of persons from other districts of Andhra Pradesh and also from Maharashtra. The cultivator is a happy lot compared to any other places of Andhra Pradesh. Many cultivators from Guntur district have arrived here and started cultivation. The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh is also showing its immense interest for the uplift of the agriculture and agriculturists. The govt. is providing full help to the agriculturists in planting mangoes, oranges, guavas, lemon, sweet lime and other fruit bearing trees. The 90% subsidy for 3 years is a big deal for the poor farmer and they are overjoyed for this relief apart from free electricity for 8 hours a day. It has really improved the living condition of the cultivator, still it is believed that the big shots are occupying the govt. lands, endowment lands, waqf lands and also Inami lands of poor SCs etc.. The criminal negligence and corruption is making the scenerio bad to worse. The involvement of Tahsil people and Patwaris on one side and access of local leaders to the official records on the other side are also responsible for it.
