Traditional Unionist Voice is a Northern Irish political movement founded on 2007-12-07 as an anti-St Andrews Agreement splinter from the Democratic Unionist Party. Its first chairman is MEP Jim Allister who sits as an independent, having been elected for the Democratic Unionist Party in 2004.[1][2]
The four founding principles of the new movement are
- retention of the Union between Northern Ireland and Great Britain
- committment to democratic devolution which rejects the mandatory coalition model
- that the rule of law must prevail in every part of Northern Ireland and be administered without fear or favour;
- supportive of traditional family values.
