The Spirra is Proto Motors's latest attempt at creating a supercar capable of competing with the best of the European and American manufacturers. [citation needed]

Although the Spirra's price tag is much lower ($90,000) than most real supercars, it does post fairly impressive numbers. It has a V8 DOHC 32V Powerplant that delivers Template:Auto hp.[citation needed] This is a Hyundai/Mitsubishi 4.6 V8 Engine, which is also used in the large Hyundai Equus Sedan. There is also over Template:Auto ft.lbf of torque available to the driver. The Spirra has a claimed 0-60 time under 4.5 seconds with an expected top speed of + Template:Auto mph.

The Spirra is rear wheel drive and although it takes design cues from most supercars (low center of gravity, mid engine) it is also much smaller, not much larger than the Lotus Exige.
