Nigel Mitchell (born in Kingston upon Thames in Surrey on September 19,1978) is a British television presenter who is most known for presenting Disney Channel and other television shows. Nigel is also known for his radio presenting.

Television career

A short into the television career of Nigel Mitchell.

Nickelodeon

Nigel started his TV career as a presenter on the kid's television station, Nickelodeon, being their youngest TV presenter in history

Disney Channel

Nigel went on to work for Disney Channel, from this Nigel hosted live award shows on a yearly basis, from the Royal Albert Hall and London Arena. This was part of the Disney Channel Kids Awards, which was an annual event. Nigel was a voice over for Disney Channel also. Many of the shows with Disney Channel ran from 4pm - 7pm, with longer Summer editions.

Closure of Disney Channel

Viewers saw the end of Disney Channel's live presentation when the show "Studio Disney" was to end. Studio Disney featured live games, and callers, and special guests, being one of my most popular live presentation shows for children in the United Kingdom. At the same time as presenting an afternoon presenting career, Nigel still managed to present a very early morning radio show during weekdays. After the closure, Nigel still continued to be a voice-over for The Disney Channel, until 2006.

Quizmania

Meanwhile, after presenting Disney Channel's "Studio Disney", Nigel went on to presenting his radio show on kids radio station, Capital Disney. After presenting radio show on Capital Disney, he started to present an over 18's participation show called Quizmania. The show runs on callers calling in to on-screen games. The quiz shows have often been criticised for their expensive call charges, chance of getting through to the studio to give answers, and the difficulty of the on-screen games.

Closure of Quizmania

Quizmania stopped broadcasting in the 2007. According to the Quizmania official website, the show may return. The website includes a form for visitors to be kept up to date. During the closure of quiz show Quizmana, Nigel was still presenting his afternoon radio show titled "Nigel Mitchell's Friday Afternoon Thing".

Play DJ

Months later after the end of Quizmania, Nigel was a host on Play DJ. A similar show to Quizmania, with on-screen games but the only way of taking part, was to use the SMS text facility on your mobile phone. Again, there were still criticisms of the chances of winning a prize once on air, or being chosen to play on the show.

Closure of Play DJ

ITV stopped all ITV Play related shows, when there were many complaints that the quiz shows ITV Play had to offer were unacceptable. ITV Play only broadcasts two game shows, at a later time.
