Friday After Next is the second sequel to Friday. The film was released in 2002, and stars Ice Cube as Craig Jones, and Mike Epps as his less street intelligent cousin Day-Day. It was directed by Marcus Raboy.

Plot

A robber (Rickey Smiley), disguised as Santa, steals Craig and Day Day's Christmas presents and rent money.

The two cousins, who have just started new jobs as shopping center security guards, have to work on Christmas Eve, to earn the rent money back. They are working against the clock, as the landlady (Ms. Pearly) will send her homosexual ex-convict son, Damon (Terry Crews), after them, if they don't pay up on time.

During the day they encounter new insane characters including Moly (Maz Jobrani), the owner of the donut shop at the shopping center, who is also the property manager. They also meet Money Mike (Katt Williams), who owns a shop called "Pimps and Hos", and a trigger happy old man (also Mike Epps, in a dual role), that complicates their goal to get their rent money and throw a slammin' party later that night. Craig and Day Day also fight over Donna, Money Mike's employee/girlfriend.

The shopping center is also the home of a BBQ rib restaurant called "Bros. BBQ", owned by the cousins' fathers, Willie (John Witherspoon) and Elroy (Don 'D.C.' Curry). with "ribs so good make you wanna slap your mama!" This slogan is demonstrated during the filming of a television commercial, when Willie knocks his mother (Dolores Jones) to the ground with a forceful slap.

Cast

Roach

Roach, from Next Friday, didn't appear in Friday After Next because the actor who portrayed Roach, Justin Pierce, killed himself in 2000, which is why Craig (Ice Cube) and Day-Day (Mike Epps) have the pitbull Chico from Next Friday.
