Anna Loginova (Анна Логинова) (died January 2008 at age 29) was a former Russian fashion model and later a trained bodyguard. She died in a carjacking incident in Moscow. Loginova has been described as Russia's most famous female bodyguard.[1]

Modeling and business career

Loginova was previously a model, working in advertising campaigns for Chanel and BMW. [2] She also appeared in Maxim magazine.[3] She learned martial arts techniques. Later, she started a security firm specializing in women bodyguards.[4] The uses of female bodyguards includes escorting the protected person to a restaurant whereas male bodyguards are more noticeable and are required to wait outside.[3]

She served many wealthy clients, including Kostya Tszyu.[5]

Death

According to the Daily Mail and other sources she died from head injuries after clinging on to the door handle of her Porsche Cayenne and being dragged along the street at high speed as the carjacker drove the car away. [6] The stolen vehicle later appeared abandoned in southwest Moscow.[7] Loginova had been previously successful in thwarting an attempt to steal her Porsche.
