About
I live in Bristol, UK and am a physics and computing teacher at Clifton College by day, and occasional astronomer by night.
I am keen to promote the use of free software wherever possible, and am co-ordinating an astronomy project which uses free, open source software as its backbone. In 2005, I attended a talk by Richard Stallman in Bristol, one of the key advocates of free software, in which he outlined the potential threats of DRM (or "Digital Restrictions Management", as he so aptly calls it).
As a voluntary effort, I have put together a Physics learning content portal using Moodle, an open source educational content management system. The information on the site does need updating, and a few bugs in the site currently prevent Guest logins (this will be fixed at some point!).
I intend to produce material for the above, and also in the religion section of Wikipedia; my family website has a few details about our family's ideas about God,politics & life in general, and the church that we are part of can be found : here - so check these out too, if you have time :)
Finally, I'm a keen Zaurus user, and am starting to contribute to the Open Zaurus Wiki.. I've now sold my Zaurus and am using an Asus EeePC mini laptop.
