does the dates suits everyone?

Iremoved the last sentence. I feel that it would be more suited in an article dealing with Microsoft/monopoly related issues. Impaciente 05:33, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Offimatic"

What's this "offimatic"? It isn't an english word. When I google it, I find only copies of this article, and bad translations from other languages (mainly Spanish).

into this list of suites _ I suggest adding edeskonline

Picture of Microsoft Office

Being the most popular office suite, don't you think that it deserves a picture? Maybe put one of Office on Windows, one of iWork on OSX and then OOo on GNU/Linux? --69.159.228.177 19:22, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Pages screenshot.jpg

Image:Pages screenshot.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

==Suggest deleting: Generations and Evolution==

I agree that this section should be deleted

I've read Nicolas Carr's blog about the generation of office suites. I feel that these "generations" are more of a personal reference to them. I've never heard of anyone else anywhere mentioning "generations" of office suites. Maybe add some more reference? Not sure. My main reason being, it didn't seem right; usually, when something advances in x.0 version, it gets better. 3.0 use hybrid desktop/web based softwares, and 4.0 is described as a fully web-based. Going web-based doesn't make it better, it's simply another platform, though flexible, still has its limitations. Voices your thoughts, maybe I'm wrong. deleted the section

Please read my explaination above. Before you undo my deletion, please elaborate and present information from other sources that supports the "generations" of Office suites. Thanks. BushMyster (talk) 00:34, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

a CRM (customer relationship management ) system..

For Direct Marketing, a client will purchase business mailing lists. Then he will mail it out. He would then require a CRM (cstomer relationship management ) system. Should this be a part of an office suite ? I did go to * DMOZ Office Suites to find out. Sanjiv swarup (talk) 08:34, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
