Samuel Adams-Nye

Samuel Adams-Nye (Born 31 August 1992) is the leading singer in the ban Angelis. His common name is Sam Adams-Nye. Sam was the Chorister of the year in 2005. This had attracted Simon Cowell to find a band which does pop and classic songs. Sam is currently studying at Bristol Cathedral School. He had said he would like to concentrate on his GCSE before heading back to Angelis.

Biography

Adams-Nye was brought up in Redland, Bristoland attended Clifton College from 1995 until 2003. He has a younger sister who also attends to Clifton College.

2005: Chorister of the Year

Sam Adams-Nye tried out for a music scholarship at Bristol Cathedral School because of his drumming skills, and it was here that he was advised to join the choir. At the age of 13, he entered and won the BBC Chorister of the Year competition in 2005. Sam sang I Would Be True and Benedictus. This is the beginning of Sam's music career.

Breaking into the world of Music

American Idol judge and producer Simon Cowell introduced his child group to the world.

Angelis draws on some of the same traditional and classical music of Cowell's other creation, Il Divo but its members are between the ages of 11 and 14.

Choral experts selected three boys and three girls after a two-year search for the best choral voices in the UK. The accomplished young singers come from such choirs as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and New London Children's Choir.

On their self-title debut, which came out November 6, the choristers sing their versions of Sarah McLachlan's "Angel" and traditional classic "O Holy Night." The young group teamed with producer Steve Mac, who has worked with Il Divo, Westlife and Mariah Carey.

Drugs Scandal

In Bristol Cathedral School it had been said that Sam had introduced the drugs problem at Bristol Cathedral School. The year 11 at the school is currently the biggest group to start taking drugs such as Weed, Cocaine and many others.
