The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to WFAL, you will be blocked from editing. Corvus cornixtalk 22:16, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of cleanup tags without addressing their concerns is considered vandalism. Corvus cornixtalk 22:25, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You provided a link to the radio station's website. That's not a reliable source under Wikipedia's guidelines. We require multiple independent, verifiable sources, in which the subject of the article is the prime focus of the source. That didn't satisfy the unsourced tag, nor the notability tag. Corvus cornixtalk 22:31, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. There would have to be more than one (and it doesn't even have to be an on-line source), but it can't be just a passing mention, like, "song such and such was played on WFAL", it has to be an article or book or something of the like about WFAL. And a one-day-a-week show on that station doesn't make Wikipedia's notability guidelines, either. Like I kept trying to tell you, I wouldn't have objected if it were merged into the WFAL article, but you wouldn't allow that to happen, and now it's possible that both articles will be deleted. Corvus cornixtalk 22:38, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Once you've found sources and have added them to the page, it might be best to post a request on the article's Talk page to have others look them over to let you know if they satsify the request. Corvus cornixtalk 23:35, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 22:36, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page WFAL do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bblogspot\.com' (link(s): http://spinningindie.blogspot.com/2008/02/tale-of-two-stations-at-notre-dame-and.html) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 00:26, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to WFAL. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

Tags

you were already warned about removing tags. Ridernyc (talk) 03:27, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I already pointed out the problems with your "Sources" in the AFD, 2 of them are not even sources and the newspaper article is from the university newspaper. You can not use the university newspaper to establish notability. I don't think you are doing anything in bad faith but since you are involved with the subject you should not be removing tags. Ridernyc (talk) 03:38, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
ok, wiki says tags can be removed when the issue is solved, I also noted that they were fixed on the articles talk page. and i already presented a valid argument for keeping, all i did was some minor edits to a page created like 3 years ago... you said there was no sources so i cited sources, wiki does not specify what kinda news paper.. I'm taking this higher then some wiki bully like you!--Sbkbg (talk) 03:44, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
they clearly state sources independent of the subject. You wou work for the Boweling Green University Radio station, you are editing an article for the station you work for, you are trying to use the Bowling Green University press as a source. We can take the issue to WP:COI if you like? To me it's pretty cut and cdry that you should not be removing the tags. Ridernyc (talk) 03:50, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
