Panchgavya
Panchgavya (or cowpathy) is an Indian therapeutic practice which uses the "five products" of cows. The five products are milk, curd, ghee, urine and dung, (and Panch in Sanskrit means five). It is described in Ayurvedic medical texts. [1]
The products obtained are also used either as fertilizers or pesticides in agricultural operations.
Cowpathy has been described[2] as an example of Indigenous Technical Knowledge (see Participatory technology development).
