Matt Pelech (born September 4, 1987 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the first round, 26th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Pelech has played three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, with the Sarnia Sting and the London Knights. In 145 games, he has scored six goals and added 20 assists.

Over the summer of 2006 he was traded to the Belleville Bulls, where he played in the 2006-07 season. In 2007, he was assigned to the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League. His younger brother Mike Pelech plays for the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors.
