Moved back from Shoulder pad

Whilst singular nouns are preferred on Wikipedia, shoulder pads are always used in pluralised form (2 pads make up 1 piece of equipment and cannot be separated). See WP:NAME. Thanks. --Bren ^talk 01:10, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm wondering if the image presently featured in the article adequately illustrates the subject of the article. IMHO it does not. After all the pads are covered by jerseys. I can't see the shoulder pads! IMHO two images should be featured: 1. the shoulder pads alone; and 2. a football player wearing the shoulder pads beneath a jersey. This article can be exapnded to support two images. For example, a history of the use of shoulder pads in football could be included, their construction, materials, cost, companies manufacturing football shoulder pads, etc. TimmyTruck (talk) 12:22, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
