Isha is a modern day spiritual teacher and writer. Born in Australia, Isha has attained a large following around the world, centered in Latin America.[1]
Background
Born in Australia, Isha was given up for adoption at an early age. At 28, she suffered great personal losses. Her pain and disillusionment was so profound, that she began a spiritual search. This process brought her to enlightenment, and to develop her own system for the expansion of consciousness, known as the Isha System. [2]
The Isha System is a method for self-healing and the expansion of consciousness, easy to learn and to practice, free from religious beliefs. It works on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.[3]
Today, Isha has dedicated her life to demystifying spirituality, and presenting it in a modern, accesible form. [4]Her International Foundation teaches the Isha System for free throughout Latin America, allowing her teachings to reach low-income communities, the terminally ill, prisoners, the disabled, orphans and victims of natural catastrophes.[5][6]
The international heaquarters of the Isha Foundation is located in Costa Azul, Uruguay. The "SPA for consciousness" is visited by students of the Isha System from around the world.[7]

Consciousness is the absolute truth, it is an experience of love, it is infinite and has no limits, and it is within everything.
Traditions are based in the illusion of time and space. They are made up of stagnant belief systems that have become rigid with time, not flowing with the natural changes of life. These belief systems make people feel safe, because they have a set of rules to follow, but they are false idols, because they are just belief systems.
Consciousness cannot be contained within a tradition, it only exists in the eternal present, and is constantly evolving, growing and expanding in infinite, eternal love.[8]
