Enid Kent was born on January 14, 1945 in Los Angeles, California to William Kent and actress Irene Tedrow. Her father, a Polish immigrant, was a lawyer while her mother, originally from Denver, Colorado, was a well-known radio and stage actress who later on went on to film and television. A Hollywood High School graduate (and classmate of actress Swoosie Kurtz), Enid explored the world of theater from an early age, becoming a participant in the Oregon Shakespeare Festival amongst other endeavors. Her college years found her attending classes at San Francisco State, eventually moving to New York to pursue acting in earnest. While there, Enid met and married musician Hod David Schudson, and moved back to Los Angeles. After this move, Enid's career truly blossomed, making her a quite prolific character actress in some of the best-known and loved shows on television. Enid played Nurse Bigelow, a recurring character in the television series M*A*S*H.[1] Her acting credentials also include such TV series as Family Ties, Head of the Class, Small Wonder, CHiPs, Diff'rent Strokes, Eight Is Enough and L.A. Law.
