Before Romeo became famous he was featured in some of his father's (Master P) early records. At the age of 11, he followed in his father's footsteps and became an entertainer.[citation needed] He achieved success by breaking Michael Jackson's record of the youngest person to get a number one hit with his first single "My Baby". His success came from his two early studio albums, mainly Game Time. He recoded that album all by himself, at his home studio, which was featured on the show MTV Cribs. Romeo released a third album called Romeoland, with guest appearances from Master P the Rich Boyz, and [Solange Knowles]].

Romeo also appeared on most of his father's greatest hits, such as "I Need Dubs". He accepted an invitation to interpret the song theme of the 3rd season of the cartoon Static Shock and he also won 2 BET Awards and a Grammy in the year 2001-2002. He is in a rap group with his cousins and younger brother, Young V called "Rich Boyz". Since then, Romeo has been working on a new album, High School Romance. This will be his first studio album in three years and his first studio album to use the name Romeo. Guests will include Master P, Akon, Marques Houston, Silkk the Shocker, C-Los, Young-V, and T-Payne with production by Dr Dre. He is to star along with his father Master P in a new horror movie titled The Pig People.[citation needed]

More recently, Romeo launched a new record label with his father Master P called Take A Stand Records. The record label aims to release music without any explicit content.[citation needed]
