Jason Gavin (born March 14 1980 in Dublin) is an Irish football player who plays as a defender for Drogheda United.

He previously played for English sides Middlesbrough, Bradford City and had loan spells at Hartlepool United, Grimsby Town and Huddersfield Town.

He won the U18 European Championships in 1998 in Cyprus under Brian Kerr. He also played at the FIFA World Youth Championship finals in Nigeria in 1999.

Gavin signed for Shamrock Rovers at the start of the 2005 season and made his League debut on the opening day of the season on 18 March.[1] Wearing number 17 he went on to make 19 appearances before his mid season transfer to Drogheda United. Rovers fans never saw the best of Jason as the club was in financial meltdown at the time before being saved by the fans [2]
