Nam Cheong Station is an MTR station in Hong Kong, on the Template:HK-MTR lines and Template:HK-MTR lines lines. The livery of Nam Cheong Station is pale yellow green.
Located to the west of Nam Cheong Estate and east of the West Kowloon Highway, Nam Cheong Station is built as Hong Kong's first fully-integrated station with MTR inter-town rail (formerly known as KCR) and urban metro lines, as opposed to Kowloon Tong, Tsim Sha Tsui, or Mei Foo interchanges between two fare systems which are separate stations that are conveniently linked to each other.
Presently, the station does not provide cross-platform interchanges between two lines though the platforms are linked via a common underground concourse. Passengers wishing to change from one line to another must first cross gates (ticket barriers) to reach the paid area of another fare system. However, a series of passageways are currently being built through the wall between the Hong Kong bound platform #4 of the Tung Chung line and the Tuen Mum bound platform #1 of the West Rail Line. This will provide a cross-platform interchange between these lines when construction finishes in late 2008.
The Template:HK-MTR lines line passes between the tracks of Tung Chung Line without stopping at this station.
A public transport interchange, located to the east of the station, allows for easy and convenient transfers to other modes of public transport.
Nam Cheong Station was built by a joint venture between Balfour Beatty and Zen Pacific.[1]

All 4 platforms are located at ground level. The West Rail Line platforms are completely covered, creating the illusion that they are still underground.
The platforms are curve because they were built on existing railways. However, the gaps are not very large.
Octopus Card users can easily transfer between West Rail Line and Tung Chung Line through the use of the Transfer Gates separating fare areas of MTR urban lines and West Rail Line. Once the card is placed on the reader, the first section of journey fare will be deducted and passenger can walk over to the other fare area. If passenger accidentally went to the wrong area by mistake, he/she must exit through the exit gates of current area (not the Transfer Gates) within 15 minutes or an extra fare will be charged.
