Amanda Brunker (born 1973 in Dublin, Ireland) is a former Miss Ireland winner and current columnist for the Irish Sunday World newspaper. After attending Mount Temple Comprehensive School she turned to modelling, eventually entering and winning the Miss Ireland competition in 1991. She went on to represent her home nation in the Miss World Competition in Nigeria that same year without success.

Career

She has continued modelling, acted in the film Head Rush, had a cameo role on the Irish soap Glenroe, been a nightclub hostess, presented her own late night TV show The Dinner Party and is currently a journalist/columnist for the Sunday World newspaper.

She lives in Dublin with her partner, Philip O'Loughlin, and their two sons. She is currently working on a novel, entitled Champagne Lifestyles, which is due for publication in June 2008.

Charity Work

Amanda is highly criticized for her fantastic work for the poor. She recently locked herself up (for charity) in Cork Prison overnight with many other Irish celebrities just for the good cause. Hundred's of Irish turned up and donated while Amanda also signed autographs. The money she made for charities was so helpful. And those charities would like to her very much.

Journalism

Amanda is one of Ireland's top writer's. She has her own column in the "Sunday World" a popular Irish newspaper and is currently penning her first highly anticipated book called "Champagne Lifestyles".

Television Roles

She has presented her own late night show with great ratings. She has appeared on many of Ireland's finest shows and she continues to act but less frequently because she's had two children and will be getting married.
